Full HD Recording

With the camera’s built-in Full HD recording capability (1920×1080), easily capture brilliantly crisp videos with enhanced detail. Then playback and share your videos in smooth, cinematic action with less distortion on compatible HDTVs and PCs.
3D Panoramic Sweep
Get a new perspective of your shots
Shooting 3D imagery is easy with a simple touch of a button on the Cyber-shot DSC-HX9V. Advanced but easy to use, features such as 3D Sweep Panorama and Sweep Multi Angle on the camera add a new dimension to your photography for more beautiful images.
With a sweep of your hand, 3D Sweep Panorama creates wide 3D shots realistically for viewing on your 3D TV, while Sweep Multi Angle creates 3D-like images that you can enjoy simply by tilting the camera from left to right, so you can easily view and share your images without the need for 3D glasses.
Image Magic
Expect amazing images every time
Get perfect shots every time with Sony’s Image System, which combines the technology of a superior lens, image sensor and processor. The Cyber-shot DSC-HX9V’s 25mm wide-angle Sony G Lens onboard delivers professional results and great close-ups with its 16x High Optical Zoom.
Featuring a 16.2 megapixel Exmor R CMOS Image Sensor that complements the wide-angle G Lens, stunning images can be captured at high resolution and in dim lighting environments with amazing low-light sensitivity, while the extremely responsive BIONZ processor ensures that you’ll capture details the way they’re meant to be captured.
Background Defocus
Make what’s important stand out
Bring out the subjects of your photos by adding natural-looking, blurred backgrounds to your images. Usually only seen on professionally taken shots on DSLR cameras, this effect can now be achieved with Background Defocus. Selecting from three levels of intensity, this feature applies a blur on the rest of the background image, placing greater emphasis on the focused subject.
